I just upgraded to Win7 from Vista. In Vista, I had a wonderful undevolt and I've been trying to get that again, but RMClock is having some kind of trouble. I've reinstalled it multiple times, and the same thing keeps happening. I'll post pictures below, but a description (though difficult) is necessary too.

As you can see in the first picture, the individual profile management pages don't fully load when I click to them. Only one box shows up, and I can check and uncheck it but nothing else happens. If I leave the page after I have checked and applied the P-State box, upon returning, the box is unchecked again.

In the second picture is what happens when I blindly click around in the grey areas from the first picture If I get lucky and hit something (usually a scroll bar), the part of the window that is activated magically shows up.

In the third picture is what happens when I shake the entire window of the program. That's right, not just clicking the window bar at the top does it, I have to shake the darn thing around to get the stuff to come out of the grey mass from the first picture. Even from here, the P-State box for AC is still the only thing that actually shows a check mark. I know the other boxes are being activated (even though a check doesn't apppear) because the "Apply" button un-greys and I can "Apply" the new changes. Yet again, when I leave the profile page though, all settings are undone.

I have undervolted before, and I've done all steps necessary to activate the profiles. This has never happened to me until Windows 7, so I'm not sure what on earth is happening.

I've also included my Management and Advanced settings page if anyone has recommendations for settings. My CPU is a Core2 Duo T9300.

    Any help is appreciated,
    Thanks.

That's really strange, as I've been using RMClock in 7 since January, with no ill effects.

This might sound dumb, but you might as well try redownloading the file.

Also, did you reinstall the 64-bit driver?

    I've reinstalled a few times, and I'm running 32bit.

I did have a fun ordeal deleting a print program from my University b/c the registry and drivers became corrupted. Has anyone heard of anything like this happening with RMClock? If so, where are the Reg files so I can clean this out and try a new install?

What I meant was, perhaps your file is somehow corrupted. So try redownloading the entire file fresh from the net.

What notebook are you using? Go to C:\Program Files\RMClock (I presume you installed it there. If you haven't, then place it there) and select the RMClock_WipeOut registry key to reset RMClock to the original state and try again.

This time, we will enable RMClock's options bit by bit - Click on Settings, then under Startup Options, checkbox 'Start minimized to system tray' and 'Run Windows at Startup' just to be safe. Apply. Do not do any UV'ing first, then restart your laptop.

Oh and what version of Win 7 you're using? I once had an older 7000 build and RMclock refused to start.

    Yep, this IS really strange.

    I'm on a Alienware M15x, using Win7 Enterprise.

Tried the clean uninstall w/ registry sweep, nothing still. And it's actually not possible to get an undervolt at all. When I move away from the profile windows, everything returns to grey and unchecked.

Try selecting RMclock Power profile as the Windows 7 power profile. It will be under Additional power plans.

Still no good. Is there any chance that it has to do with my advanced settings or management settings?

Thanks for all the help, guys. I know it's frustrating but it's good to finally get some feedback.

Try deleting RMClock entries from the registry, then reinstall.

working for me. Win 7 Pro. 64 bit.

on one of my machines, I had to disable the UAC in order for it to hold the settings after a restart.

Yeap try running RMwipeout.reg in the RMclock folder. This will wipe out all the RMclock settings in the registry

I never had problems with it on win7 pro x64 either.

I told him to do the RMClock_WipeOut registry key already on my previous post on this thread. It still did not work for him.

A little bit of addon here: You can try CTRL + F and search RMclock in the registry to see if there's any more traces of it just to be safe.

    Alright... Gonna try something drastic.
I'm gonna take a shot in the dark: Someone with Win 7 or similar version rar up your RMclock directory and send the rar to him. Who knows? Maybe the link from rightmark just recently became a busted .exe/zip file and the authors never realised it.

And this may a little bit extreme but you may want to try reinstalling your win7 or obtain Windows 7 Ultimate - x64 this time. Just remember to get RTcore64.sys...

That's what I'll do if I were you. Or get back to Vista, either way.

This is very weird. Man, I feel for you...

EDIT: Just to be safe, you sure you're using x86 Win7? Not that I'm doubting but just would like a double check... Thanks. And is your UAC disabled?

I'm going to try a clean re-install w/ another registry wipe again later tonight. Here is a screenshot of my system info. Could there be any issue from the fact that I'm running Win7 Enterprise?
And UAC is definitely still enabled (As annoying as it is)

Disable UAC first. Hit the Control Panel and select User Account, Change user account settings and slide to down to never notify. Restart and see what happens. Then try RMClock.
