I own a F3sv-a1, its t7300, 1gb ram, 160hdd, 8600gs with turbocache. And ive been using it for about a week and its been running smoothly except in games. Im going to buy a 2gb ram stick just because i want to.
What am i goin to expect after i install the new ram? Will my 3dmark06 score raise?

You may not see any significant change in the 3DMark score unless the GPU is able to share some of the additional RAM. The 3DMark benchmark will not directly benefit from the additional RAM to run more smoothly, but I am sure you will find that Vista runs more smoothly. Use the 2GB module alongside one of your existing modules. Having two modules, even if different sizes, will give slightly better memory performance than one.

Vista will run better! But with your question what is your GPU? It migh have nothing to do w/RAM.

alt+tabing will be much faster, loading things in general will be faster, the whole system will be so much more smooth.
I have 2 different brand newish 2gb sodimms on sale right now for cheap btw that I need to get rid of.
