    Radio Status?

    I have this little green icon in my Taskbar and am wondering what it does i cant open it or anything i just can hover over it and it says "Radio Status" What is it and do i need itif not how can i gte rid of it?

    I'm not sure what icon you're talking about.
    If you could post a picture of your screen that would help (hit the Print Screen button on your keyboard, then paste it in MS Paint (or another program) and upload the image here).

    Is your wireless on? What wireless card do you have?
    I'm not sure what that is.

    Read the How to Optimize a Notebook Computer guide.
    The first part ( Clear Out Memory Resident Programs That are not Needed) is what you should do.
    If you do that you should find out what program that is and you can stop it from starting.

    Yeah that if for the Wireless card. Nothing happens if you right click on it? you can turn it off under msconfig so it doesnt start on boot. There should also be a wireless config. in the control panel where you can disable the icon.
