The Dell Vostro I am looking at Now has the option of giving me 1gig of ram or 2 gigs of ram for an additional 150 dollars.

    Is it worth it?
Will one gig be good in the future?
    Can one gig run WoW?

    Thank you

Definitely worth it. The newer the software, the more RAM it utilizes. Unless you want to upgrade the RAM in a few months, if not weeks, go with the 2GB.

If you are running Vista, you will definitely be better off with 2gb of ram. However, upgrading from 1gb to 2gb for $150 is too much. Buy the ram from newegg and upgrade yourself to save $$$

cheaper to get the 1 gig RAN first, and upgrade yourself, keeping the older RAM sticks for warranty ( since they are dell branded, and the cheapest for 2GB are not Dell branded but Patriot or Geil or Crucial or Super Talent).
1GB for XP is ok. I think it can run WoW. Vista really needs 2GB so as not to hinder performance
