667 will work, although bc your your c700's cpu, it won't really take advantage of the speed than say ddr2 533, but if the price is the same, sure go with the 667

Any DDR2 RAM will be fine. If you get RAM that is rated for a higher speed than the notebook is capable of, it will just downclock to your computer's speed. So if you buy 667MHz RAM and you have a 533MHz FSB computer, the RAM will work at 533MHz.

Just get whatever capacity RAM you want, lowest price wins as long as it comes with a solid warranty.

    Welcome to notebook review :D

All DDR2 memory should comply with JEDEC standards, meaning it will downclock to lower speeds so that it will be supported by a wider array of systems.
Stick with 2 x 1Gb of PC5300 memory as it should give you the best bang for the buck.

Its too bad Australian prices are so high. I sold 2 x 1Gb PC5300 a few months back for $10 shipped to a guy in Canada
