    Hey Guys,

My C90s is in production right now it should have been here 1 week ago but there was a shortage on the CPU I ordered. So the company decided to throw in a few extras with my notebook for free like a Logitech VX Revolution and a spare battery.

Anyway my question is that I've heard that the C90s doesn't boot when there are certain types of ram in the slots; I'm planning on buying a G.SKILL 2GB stick will this work?

Probably not, Almost no 2gb sticks work. I have tried Giel, Corsair, and Gskill and none of the 3 worked.

Does this only apply for the notebook in question, or all 2gb sticks in general? I've seen plenty of people on this forum using 2gb sticks, and I've never heard that they don't work. I was just about to go buy one in a week or so. Can someone confirm this

In general motherboards have to support 2GB sticks not all do as they have only recently become common and affordable. You should always confirm whether yours does.

And no, it is not a problem with the RAM

Okay, I get it now. I have a brand new Vaio FZ190, I'm sure it supports it. Thanks for the clearification
