Hi, for those who don't know, the penryn chips now support 800Mhz FSB and therefore offers a faster connection to ram. I'm curious about how much this would effect performance and if it does where and who makes 800Mhz ram for notebooks? I live in Canada so that narrows down my selection quite a bit but I have yet to see this speed. Can anyone help me?

Commander Wolf can i haz broadwell?
An 800MHz FSB has been supported since the relase of Santa Rosa.
But this is irrelevant as FSB speed is NOT the same as memory speed. No Intel laptops currently support 800MHz memory, so there's no point in buying 800MHz memory for Intel laptops. 800MHz memory on a Santa Rosa machine will downclock to 667MHz and provide no performance gains at all. -
