    Hey Guys,

    Just ordered Inspiron 9300.

I ordered only 256 mb ram because it'll be cheaper to buy elsewhere.

Now here is the 64,000 dollar question: Which ram should I buy?

I could not find any info on the dell site other than it is DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz.

I guess i only need the pin amount on the ram because I want to order it before the dell gets here.

Also I'd like to find out what is a good wireless, optical mouse for the notebook because I never liked touchpads. I know there are millions out on there on the market but I just want to hear if anyone has any favorites.

    Thank you

any idea on what works with dual channel? should it be two equal sticks like 2X512 or can it be 1 gb + 256 gb in dual channel as well?

Both sticks have to be the same in order to use dual channel IIRC.

However its usually not worth it, the performance only increases by a small amount, barely recognizable, so you may be better of getting 256 + 1024, and upgrade with another 1024 stick when necessary
