    Hi all

I have just bought two sticks of 2 gb RAM, to upgrade my ASUS m51 from 2gb to 4gb.

Problem is, when I put one or both sticks in my graphics card disappear. I can't see it in device manager or install drivers.

I run vista xp32 sp3, and know that I therefore will not be able to take full advantage of all the RAM. But even with the a 2gb stick and 1gb stick in, the graphicd card still disappear.

Anyone have any idea what's up?

I'm guessing its an issue with 32-bit.
Did you try it with Vista 64-bit ?

I have never heard of "Vista xp32 sp3" unless you are trying to say Windows XP 32bit SP3.

Yes same thing, umm so you put 2 GBs in and it still sees the card right (like have you tried going back to 2 GB, any of the sticks should be fine)

and Vista 32 bit I believe limits all memory, so if you have memory say on RAM, video card, umm sound card? it all cant exceed the total amount of memory the 32 bit OS can see, not just the RAM on your motherboard.

    Yes, I mean Xp 32bit, sp3.

I have tried reinstalling the 2gb RAM, and then the graphicscard works again.

It doesn't with either 3 or 4 gb.
