ok i watched the whole 45 minute pax for the new razor blade.. and the only thing that caught my eye about the whole system was razors claims of a new intel i7 cpu thats yet to have been announced by intel?
any one know what this cpu is?
ive gone to the tech specs for the system and it says future 3rd generation intel i-7.. I get that part.. but what chip could it be lol.. a new xm?
p.s. yes know this is the 18x hang out...buuuuut Im curious about this so called new cpu from intel..

It is probably nothing more then the mid year speed bump but Razor making sound like something else/exciting .
-
Could it be the 3632QM? QS already available on eBay from shirleyfu XD
-
Probably not an XM CPU in a Razer Blade, LOL. Agree with Brother Quad... probably a lot of hype to make the Razer Blade seem more desirable than it actually is.

Probably just an indicator of Intel's new cpu refresh and I doubt it's anything to get worked up over. It's not just the xm that's being bumped up so more than likely it's a lower cpu bump

So from a 3920XM => 3940XM we will probably see a 200MHz increase for CPU speed -
I thought I read somewhere it was going to be i7-3740QM which is only like a 100MHz bump over the i7-3720QM.
-
Just fyi, the 3940xm and some other refreshes have already been announced.
-
Does it matter? For 1080p gaming is the 660M really sufficient? At least not at the $2300 price tag.
-
I thought the Razer Blade gets a more capable GTX GPU. Anyway, typical Razer. More expensive than conventional brands but you get the looks and some more rackets than the same.

3632QM = 35W
Max Turbo = 3200MHz
3610QM = 45W
Max Turbo = 3300MHz
Is the 100MHz the only thing that separates 35W from 45W? -
Thing is, the chips are probably identical in every way--it's just that the higher-rated chips are probably the best in the block, and Intel merely varies the clock depending on the quality of the chip they produce.

Hi Guys, I am new to the forum but have coming here for info for a fair while.
I dont know if this is relevent to the conversation but Dell Autralia has the 3940XM as an option
for the M18x R2 See link below

With two XM models, even overclocking fanatics will have a tough time making their pick of CPUs -
But as soon as the 3632QM's hit the market (or something equal to 3610QM but has lower TDP) I'll be jumping on it. This notebook doesn't want to cool down properly.
Also, isn't that kinda insane? Preempting Intel, I mean? Well anyways. XM chips are XM chips, if they have very little price difference I don't see why one would take the lesser-priced for the other. But then again these chips can be pushed to go upwards anyway. -

Btw, why spend more on a 3940XM instead of a 3920XM? It's only like a 200-300MHz bump... -
-
Really? Well, idk. In that case I'd just probably go for something stronger i.e. the 3820QM. Haha.

New i7 in Blade? That should be a bada55 dualcore i7. Maybe the first dualcore XM cpu...
Razer pax presentation? NEW INTEL CPU THAT'S YET TO BE ANNOUNCED?
