What is it? I have it on my old vaio desktop (using it right now). It was really expensive when i put an extra 256mb stick in it. Is it really good/bad or just expensive?

It was so expensive it never caught on... If I remember correctly RDRAM was released after SDRAM and before DDR ram was released. DDR ram at that time performed on par or better than RDRAM + DDR was a lot cheaper... That's when RDRAM was buried. R.I.P

RDRAM is ungodly expensive. One of my customers at work thought it was "cheap" to spend almost $600 on some RDRAM recently (I think it was 2x512.. not certain though). No idea on it's performance.
