    Read/Write speeds of HDDs?

    So, I've seen that for solid state drives, flashdrives, etc. They post the read and write speeds of that drive. However, for harddiscs, they just post the spin speed; 5400 and 7200rpm. The problem is I don't know how fast those are compared to the solid state memory. I tried searching but found nothing. Does anyone know the common read and write speeds of those two types of HDDs? Thanx!
