My T5800 scored 97.17 sec on Wprime 32M. I know that it should be about twice as fast yet I am completely sure that both cores ran 100% and the CPU was at 10x multiplier (RMClock Monitoring for the multiplier, Task manager for CPU usage)

Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong with my CPU? The computer is Dell M1330 XPS with integrated video. The result is the same under Visa and XP...

    Thanks

Did you have any other apps open when you were running wPrime? Take a look at what apps/services are loading at Startup, disable any that aren't needed. Then run the test again.

    Hope this helps!

you can update the software .

if the problem is in the software,

uninstalled the software and download it again

if this was not creating the problems before

or delete the unwanted software which creates the problem.

It is running in two threads, both cores were 100% utilized. No software was loaded and I keep my mscofnig clean...I'm just startled...

Did you watch Task Manager to ensure that the benchmark process was getting >90% CPU time while the tests were running?

Hm, i got it. It seems somehow I had enabled Therman Monitor 1 in RMClock, which was basically locking on of my CPU cores to 1.2 ghz...
Much better now, less than 41 sec for 32M
    thanks everybody

This just caught my eye. Mine was suddenly doing exactly the same, but had been running fine for a long long time with TM1 and TM2 on!
Too bad I tried everything possible until I found out about this.

I just tried this on my T5800, and I got 41.667 seconds. It's running at 1.2GHz though. What the hell?

I'm not even using RMclock. I have it installed, but it's not in use.

Oh well. I'm not too concerned since my score is average for this processor.
