    I've got the Maxtor since christmas - no problems so far.

    Wasn't there a "my book" Western Digital online too? I think at Staples.co.uk...

    You may be better off buying the enclosure and the hard drive separately. I know the Hitachi 7K1000 1TB drive has been going for around $80 on newegg, tigerdirect and zipzoomfly. Than get what ever enclosure you want, for say $30, and you have a great storage solution.

    I had been in the same boat as you recently,and I think the best match would be the WD 1TB caviar black along with the antec mx-1 enclosure,that's what I got and I absolutely have no complaints.

    Do you have a encloseure recommendation? All I see are cheap plastice ones that are so flimsy.
