I am currently looking for a laptop cooler to cool my malibal laptop with a gtx 485m. I do gaming with this laptop which means my graphics card does get hot. I have been recommended the nzxt cyro lx or the cooler master sf-19 but i have read reviews about these to and from the sounds of it they are very cheaply made and don't sound like they are made to last. I would like everyone's opinion on which laptop cooler you would recommend. I want something that will last me a long time and my laptop is 17.3 in long please help me.

I've got a gtx 485m (in a Clevo P150HM) and also own the Cooler Master SF-19.
I did a CPU and GPU repaste with IC Diamond the other day, and shaved 5 degrees off the load temps of the laptop (tested using Furmark, fullscreen at 1920 x 1080, 8xMSAA with dynamic camera enabled).
With only a logitech N120 cooler and the original thermal paste it sat at 87 degrees (manually turning on CPU and GPU fans to highest possible speed).
After putting the paste on, It sat at 82 degrees.
After changing to the CM SF19 it sat on 81 degrees.
I'm not trying to say the CM SF19 is bad, i think the reason my temps aren't lowering much is because the CPU Fans simply didn't need more air before, so increasing the airflow didnt really help.
As for build quality of the SF19, i dont think its that bad. Its has hard plastic edges, a metal grill on the top, and rubber grips at the bottom, top and edges.
Some of the rubber grips werent glued down the whole way to the end, but they sit where they're supposed to sit nonetheless. There are 4 different power points for normal computer fans inside the case, and the cooler only comes with two fans, so if you want to put more, smaller fans in then you can. I'm not sure how you'd attach them, as the case has some special brackets to hold the CPU Fans, but it wouldn't be hard just using small bolts.
It also comes with a USB3 hub with one input and 4 outputs, so a net increase of 3.
As for airflow, theres an adjustable switch to ramp up the fan speed as required. I sit mine just under halfway to get maximum airflow and minimum noise. The noise at full speed is probably slightly noisier than a normal desk fan.
It also has LED's if thats your thing. and a button to change the colour.
The only design flaw that i can see, is that the holes in the top grill seem a bit small and probably restrict the airflow coming out through friction. I can still feel a fair bit of air coming through, and thats probably a lot more than what the computer needs anyway.
Well, If you have any questions, let me know and i'll do my best to answer them.
