I'm looking for an external USB DVD drive for an ultraportable laptop, preferably slim with one USB cord for power plus data. Does anyone have specific models they'd recommend?

I just bought a Plextor PX-610U for my dad's EEE PC. It uses one USB port for power AND data, and has worked with every machine I've tried save for a Dell D600 (which says the drive is drawing too much power, but if it works with the other machines). I meant to write a small mini-review but I just didn't get around to it...

Lacie also has a model that will do this, as does Samsung. The Samsung is easier on the wallet, that is the one I would go for.

Which would be the lightest external USB drive?

I tried surfing to find out, but thanks to my network admin most sites are blocked. I am thinking about buying a Acer 3810 or 4810 and the information would help to make the right chioce.
