    Hi,

I just got a Dell Precision m90. It comes with a 17" lcd screen but the native resolution is a massive 1920 x 1200.

I am having problems with text size and web browsing. The font size is absolutely tiny and web pages look really small and only take up a small part of the screen. This is a big problem as i am a web designer and need to know how it is going to look for the most common screen resolutions.

If i lower the resolution i lose the sharpness of the image which is not ideal. Is their a way to get a screen resolution in the exact ratio of the native resolution, maybe with bars at the side of the screen if it doesn't fit exactly, and will this sort the problem?

    Thanks

If you lower the resolution to ever the same ratio, you'll still get an unclear ratio, as there will be more liquid crystals than required.

I would suggest increasing font size. Right click on desktop, go to properties, appearance, font size.

You could also scale up the zoom in programs, or you could increase text size in web browsers, and I guess programs like DreamWeaver and NetFusions have zoom functions, but I'm not totally sure.
