Hello all,
I wanted to compile a list of notebook and desktop hardware that we could buy for refurb without having to worry and stuff that we should think twice about buying when they list it as "refurb". I will update the list as we go through.
How do we judge if it is a good buy or not? We judge the quality of them refurb item vs retail and its life expectancy.
Ledgend:
LE : Life expectancy
P: Price
L: Location
w: warranty
Desktop/Laptop Hardware:
Logitech Internet Chat Headset [LE:1 - 1.5 yrs|P:9.99|L:Canadacomputers|w:30 days in store]
Logitech Precision Gaming Headset [LE: ?? yrs|P:9.99|L:Canada Computers|w:30 days in store]
Laptop Only Hardware:
Desktop Only Hardware:

Well, refurbished means many different things, and comes in many different forms. For example, some are 'returned goods', others are from a 'repair' while some are just 'opened box'. As well, refurbs come in different forms, for example, some come with a 30 day warranty, others with a 90 day, but some come with a full warranty which can be upgraded to the exact same warranty as if it was a retail unit, just deeply discounted as it was considered a 'refurbished' unit.

coriolis you look happier w/ your new friends than b/4. Refurb vs NEW, refurb is used. Now when my Dell CD failed they sent me a refurb. No problem my broke one was used they sent me a used that they checked out cool.
