I have a couple of questions regarding this laptop.(P-6831FX)

    1. Is it possible to upgrade the RAM? Does the motherboard have 4 RAM slots?

    2. Regarding the battery, I have noticed that it sticks out in the back, about how far does it stick out? Also regarding the battery, is it possible to get a battery that doesn't stick out of the back, if so what kind of battery would that be?

    1) Yes it has 2 slots.

    2) 3/4 of an inch. You can buy a 6 cell from gateway for $129.99

Do all laptop motherboards only have 2 RAM slots? And this 6 cell battery won't stick out at all?

i think it's very rare for a laptop to have more than 2 ram slots. you're not going to find one mainstream anyways.
