I am upgrading my Asus EEE 1000H HDD to a 7200 RPM, 320 GB HDD.

    Crazy I know.

How would I install windows on my new HDD without having to pay for another license. I already own the license to the XP on the computer now...
Its an OEM license and EEE's come with no OEM Xp CD

I would just clone the original hard drive to the new one, it's the easiest way. You can use Norton Ghost or Acronis TrueImage (though these are the two I use, someone always chimes in with a free alternative).

    Hope that helps.

I am not sure about ASUS but do you have to make your own recovery discs? If so you should make those with your old drive in place, then backup your data, swap in your new drive and then boot off the recovery discs to install Windows to the new drive.
