    Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of removing the CPU from a P-M and got a question. Do I need a CPU vacuum hand pump to do so? Can I just carefully use my fingers and slowly remove the CPU upward? Need some advice.

    Thanks

Assuming it is a ZIF socket, you should be able to carefully grab the chip by the sides and lift it directly up. I've done this on a few machines with no harm.

Yeah, the sockets do not need any force to remove. Just unlock the socket and gently lift the cpu with you fingers.
