i have 2 laptops. One doesn't turn on anymore and its sager. I got the ssd removed from the laptop at repair shop. I also have an asus laptop. The ssd is still there. This laptop turns on but keyboard has issues where you can't type anything. repair shop could not fix this issue. also screen needs replacement due to blurry lines.

i like to know is it hard to remove a hard drive/ssd from an asus laptop? Its an asus u45jc-a1. Or should i have someone else do it? This isn't like the sager where there are 20 plus screws to remove but im bad with computers and worry about damaging it more.

    Thanks.

You can't damage it much more than it already is.

Turn off the computer. Unplug the AC power. Take out the battery.

Remove (or untighten) the two screws on the biggest compartment under the notebook. Remove SSD.

    Good luck. :)
