I am looking at purchasing this laptop, but it's going to need quite a bit of repair. The screen needs replacing, there's no keyboard, no HD, no battery and no charger. I have no experience in repairing laptops, but I would really like to give it a try. Also, is it possible to get the touchscreen to work again, I have only found non touchscreen replacements thus far. TIA

This doesn't sound like the best notebook repair project to start with, having no experience, but maybe someone will give you some pointers.

My advice? Don't buy this if you want a working system in the end (unless any and all costs ($$$ + time) you can throw away and not care about. In other words; a total learning experiment).

If you got it for free, if you decide to keep it for personal use, it'd be worth it. Buying HP OEM parts is REALLY expensive.

    1) HDD aren't too expensive
    2) Keyboards usually aren't too expensive
    3) Battery is going to be $$$, chargers are okay, HP 65/90W are a dime a dozen.
    4) If the screen is cracked, you are likely hosed as HP IIRC don't sell just the screen or digitizer, and force you to buy the whole display module.

    HP PartSurfer

That's the parfsurfer parts list for that Sleekbook.

    Battery: 695192-001
Official HP 65W AC adapter: 693715-001
