Anyone know if it's possible to repair the touchpad on an Inspiron 8600? My left click has stopped working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

if it's actually broken, it's probably just a replacement part from dell.

before you contact dell for a new part (or maybe check ebay), i'd say pop open notebook and verify it's actually broken. if so, then get a new part and replace it.

Well the right-click works fine and the touch pad area works fine. The 'left-click' is shot. Are there any 'how-to' threads on on removing this and replacing it?

If your Dell still has a hardware warranty on it, I would send it in to have the button replaced.
