My notebook (in sig) randomly crashes every now and again. It seems to crash more frequently when playing demanding games but sometimes even on start-up. I feel that I deserve a new notebook since this one seems to be a lemon. It's been in and out of the repair shop FOUR times within the past year for similar issues! I guess I should have seen it coming since this damn notebook was "dead on arrival" (it wouldn't even boot).

I'm not asking for tech-support here, I'm just wondering if it's possible to ask for a cost-free replacement if the notebook is still under warranty? Has anyone managed to coax/cajole/threaten a computer manufacturer into doing that?

If it's having the same problem 4 times and can't be fixed, then it's officially a lemon. I suggest you call them up and ask for a replacement, or take the case up with a lemon lawyer.
