I'm surprised I couldn't find any info here doing a search. My oem battery has given up the ghost and I want to get another one. It's for my HDX16T.

What's everyone's opinions on replacement batteries? Where to get one specifically? I couldn't even find a replacement on HPs website.

If you're particularly worried about compatibility, Amazon offers a replacement battery for the HDX16T here. Otherwise, I can find plenty of vendors on google, although you'll probably want to do some checking up to see how reputable a vendor might be.

You're right...my bad...I didn't realize they were not genuine HP. I too would stay away from aftermarket batteries.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I found a 6 cell one on HPs website finally, but it's got very poor ratings. But I'd hate to burn the house down with a bad battery.

Just my opinion but....I've always had better luck with OEM batteries although they are always 3x more expensive :(

I would check eBay for original/OEM HP batteries.
