Hi I`m new here, hope I`m posting in the right place.
I have a friend who has a HP Pavillion dv2000 with an NVidia ge force Go 7200
video card.
Her graphics are playing up they are turning negative (like you got with photographs pre digital cameras), I`m thinking the card is on its way out.
What I`d like to know is, a) am I coreect and b) if so, what graphics card would be able to replace it as it appears the 7200 is no longer made?
TIA
Mary

Im not really sure what you're trying to say, but Im pretty sure you cant upgrade the GPU in that laptop.

Welcome to the NBR forums.
you cannot upgrade/swap that videocard
the only thing you can try to is update your videocard drivers.
I recommend to check out HP support site to see if they have updated drivers...
or go here:
http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showforum=88
- try the 175.xx and the 179.xx drivers first
Look for the Drivers that say "HP/Compaq" next to it.
Remember to remove/uninstall your current Nvidia drivers (in Add/Remove Programs), before installing the new drivers. -
You can replace the graphics card in some sorts. If you wanted to you could get a socket P processer and an motherboard with an 8400m gs and put it in and it would work. Or buy another one with a go 7200

or you could spend $500 and less for a brand new machine.....

Try to get a cheap motherboad from ebay.
