It's been over a year since I bought my laptop, and my system started to tell me to consider replacing my battery. I bought a replacement off eBay (the seller said this battery would be compatible in replacing the model I had) and inserted it to test it out, while the computer was shut down of course. As soon as I turned the laptop back on it started to repeat an annoying beeping sound, and the battery indicator light kept on flashing. This happened regardless of whether I had the power cable plugged in or not. After about half a minute of this happening, I turned the laptop off and put in the original battery to avoid damage. I would really appreciate suggestions. Thank you for all your help!

Return the replacement and get an OEM unit.

    Good luck.
