    Very odd that it doesn't support wireless N right off the bat. Yes, it will work unless it doesn't have a mini-PCIE slot on it for the wireless, which I have actually never heard of happening.

    i'm unsure if the unit has three antennas built in. what if there's 2? any negative impact on N speed?

    2 antennas will limit speeds to 300Mb/s instead of 450Mb/s. That shouldn't be a big deal. Also you can add your own third antenna. They sell generic antennas on with a sticky mounting pad and you can add it to your laptop any way you want.
