Hey, ive been wondering if its possible in any way to replace my intel Core Duo t2500 Processor with a intel Core 2 Duo processor, without having to change the M-B. I asked Dell, but like always, they are short of knowledge...
    Help anyone?

I don't think the benefit outweighs the cost.

It is possible, and not all that difficult either, but like ZaZ said, its not worth the money you will spend, and it will also void your warranty.

Yes you can, but you don't have to unless you REALLY want to get the full compatibility of Vista. Even then, you still have a few more months, so wait for a bit since the price of processors drops everyday. Additionally, you will void the warranty if you do it.

Should drop in without a problem, but like firstwave said, you'll void your warrenty. Might not be worth it. That being said, I plan on upgrading my laptop (specs below) to a C2D in a few months, but I feel rather confident as to my success and the viability of the upgrade in my case. You might think it's justified in yours, too.
