    Hi,

My bro's Vostro 1510 LCD is cracked and half the screen is unusable, although it looks kinda psychedelic and cool with all the leaking liquid crystal things.

I'm wondering, is it possible to replace the WXGA+ with a lower res and much cheaper WXGA that is made for the same model?

Also, any other general advice before I go ahead and order one off ebay and replace it? I'll be following the dis-assembly manual for the laptop and figure it should be pretty straight forward, but always open to suggestions.

    Thanks :)

    Ahh ok

just wanted to be sure it was okay to replace a higher res screen with a lower res one, because some of the ebay resellers say u have to replace it with the same resolution screen... thanks
