I find glossy screens while nice in dark environments are not at all suitable for work.

Since, DELL (and mostly every single company) packages laptops with only glossy screens, has anyone tried purchasing a matte screen to replace it?

If so, what outlets/companies do you recommend?

Are the only "requirements" to check before buying is the dimensions?

Thanks so much for your help!

    :)

Not all Dell laptops have glossy screens. They have some matte screens for their business line. For instance, you can get a Vostro 1500 with a matte screen, and I'm almost positive their D830 & D630 series as well (along with their other business laptops). Not to mention the better build quality. In general, check a laptop company's business line for matte displays.

And Sager has some matte at xoticpc. The options above and xotipc might be easier and cheaper in the long run?
