I've never replaced a screen before, so I've really no idea what to do. I opened up my Latitude, and I can see where the screen is connected to the machine, but I'm unsure if I would need to replace these connections, or just buy a replacement screen sans wiring.

I so wish I had a digital cam for pics, but unfortunately, its wrapped for xmas. :( There's one wire on the back of the screen that can be 'unlocked', which is fine. But then there's a wire connecting the screen to a piece close to the hinges...I can't find a release latch for it. I don't want to go tearing willy nilly, and possibly ruin the machine further.

I know this is a long question, but I would appreciate any help anyone might offer. :)
