    I don't think there's a real need of a reset button.
It's better to power off a laptop using the start menu.

If you do need to reset your laptop you just hold on the Power button to shut it off. Then press it again to start the computer back up.

Start Menu won't work if the system hangs and holding the power button won't work if the user changes the behavior of the power button in the Control Panel. The only way to reset the misbehaving notebook in this situation is to yank the power supply cable or the battery.

My laptop resets if I press the power button once. And besides, you can do the same thing by holding down the power button to switch off, and pressing to start up again. There's no need having an unecessary key on keyboard :p

That's a new one; I have never had a laptop that had an actual reset button.

Umm, holding down the power button for 6 seconds automatically cuts all power to the system and shuts it down right away, no matter what you setting you have in the Control Panel for the power button. Remember, that setting is for when you press the power button once, not for holding the power button.

I have had laptops before my V6j that had the same type of reset button, both HPs.
