With either of those options; you're looking at re-installing Windows and all your programs. Including any DATA you have on these drives.
Tread with caution. -
yes..i wanna re-installing my windows soon enough..
but when I go to the RAID utility, i found this option and it makes me curious about it..
One of the forum senior, who help me with everything, suggest me to choose "Delete RAID Volume" and i will do it for sure..
However, I just curious what is the differences between those option, and what will happen if I choose "Reset Disks to NON-RAID" and what happens if i choose "Delete RAID Disks".
cheers.. -
Member disks in a raid set will often hold reference info that lists all of the other disks in that set. This is to aid in config and rebuild work.
When you 'reset disks to non-raid' you delete this info.
Whenever you do 'maintenance' on a raid set, you had better have a full backup available. It's way too easy to modify or reconfig needed config files and markers that will make it nearly impossible to use or rebuild a raid set. This in nearly all scenarios will equal 100% data loss.
Be careful out there.
