Hello. Its been about 4 days since i wrote about my overheating issue and i am happy to say i have successful fixed it with some crazy results. I did what flipfire told me to do-clean fan, apply thermal compound, and undervolt.(and to the last two posts on the previous forum, ive been using 18kfangui for about 6 months now. its a great program.)

My voltages changed from minimum:.9560 to .7800 (18% decrease)and maximum:1.4840 to 1.1640(22% decrease). I clicked the auto adjust for the middle voltages. Just by doing that my max temp decreased from 75C to 55C! 20 C cooler!!

I then opened my laptop and cleaned out the fans. There was so much dust! It literally totally clogged the vents. I dont know how air got out of that fan. Took out the heat sink and tried to clean what was left of the original thermal compound. I think the thermal compound actually burned into the CPU because I had to take some hydrogen peroxide(ran out of rubbing alcohol) and rub against it like 5 times. Two layers of this black and silver substance came off(arctic silver maybe?) I wasnt able to get all of the second layer off the CPU. It was very hard to get it off though and i didnt want to risk maybe breaking it by rubbing to hard with q-tips. I then applied the arctic silver 5 i bought and put everything back together. I ran a stress test for 10 minutes and my max temp was 45C!!!!!! and it was running on low fans!!! Thats a net decrease of 30C!!!!!!

I just want to say thank you to everyone who helped me especially flipfire for giving me the advice to clean out the internals.
