Hi.
the bottom 2 graphs are the important 1`s
The Penryn is quite a bit slower than the Merom.
looks like a waste of money to me!!!

Yea i happened to cross this review independently myself and im wondering what people have to say ...
The T9300 looks good on paper but if any of those tests done are accurate, the question arises as to the tangible benefits of the penryn over the merom(atleast looking at them at this point in time) -
Tinderbox, if ur referring to the graph vostro1400user posted, its not about performance, but about the energy they need, so penryns better.
Also the article states that penryn uses less battery, which is the main improvement imo. The Penryn isnt sposed to be Revolution, but, just like Montevina, evolution. -

so how much power saving it`s 10% slower so mabe it saves 10%

Those graphs have nothing to do with performance, they are power consumption graphs!!!!!!!
Read the labels of things before saying, "Penryn are no goodMerom better."
The Penryns offer better performance at lower wattage. This is because of the new 45nm manufacturing process. -
And hence you WILL think twice about the T9300/T9500 -
Still, Meroms arent better, equal at the utmost. If u take the lessened wattage into account, Penryns are definitly better, but no revolution only evolution
-
Because of the performance increases and the increase in battery life, the Penryn is a much better choice as it costs the same amount.
What are you losing if you are paying the same amount of money for a newer, more efficient, more capable, better performing processor?
Also, Notebookcheck is not a generally accepted website for info around here. Their GPU and CPU info is vastly incorrect. -
Yes i did read it and this is my point clear and concise :
If that site did accurate tests, a digit of % increase is not really called evolution
But since i dont know about that site, i am most willing to change my opinion if someone was to show me otherwise. -
Thanks for the link.
