    Hi,

The battery for my Rizeon JHL90 has stopped charging, but I am unsure if it is a battery fault or if there is something wrong internally.

Is there a way to test find out what is wrong (besides the obvious of putting in another battery, which I do not have) ?

    Cheers

Download, for instance, BatteryBar and check battery wear.

    Battery wear looks ok:

Would this suggest that there is something wrong internally?

It might be a power adapter problem... Or a battery one... try draining the battery till ur computer turns off and then recharge it...

Try checking the battery wear level with Everest.

i'm quite sure that battery bar reports the correct battery wear.... I would advise that Op try discharging battery fully and recharging then...

    Thanks for the replies.

I have let the battery discharge; now it is not charging at all. Also, whereas the battery LCD previously blinked blue, it is now constant red.

    Any ideas?

Does your BIOS have any information about the battery? Does it recognize it?

The laptop does detect the battery.

I've just restarted and Windows now says that the battery is charging and the LCD is flashing blue again. But the battery is not actually charging.

You could try using a Linux LiveCD to see if Windows is the problem.
