Out of the blue, the mouse on my Dell C600 migrated to the top/right of the screen!

Everytime I go to move it (via the touch pad and the toggle button) it reverts right back up to the top/right of the screen!

This just happened out of the blue.

What's going on with it and how do I fix it ??

Does it still happen after a reboot?

    External mouse, trackpoint or touchpad?

If it is an external mouse, disconnect it and see if the problem continues.

    Yes, happens after rebooting.

It happens with the touchpad and trackpoint BOTH.

Trackpoints can have calibration problems. Are you able to disable it (in BIOS) in order to confirm if it is the cause of the problem?
