I'm looking to connect my laptop to my T.V. via S-Video, quality isnt important, just functionality.

My laptop has an S-Video port, I have an S-Video to Yellow Component adapter than came with my video card.

    Here are pics of adapter:

How would I connect to a T.V. using this is possible? I've already tried connecting the adaper to my laptops S-video and then using a yellow component cable from the adapter to the tv but I get no video, nor is it recognized by Windows.

I've tried on a regular TV and on an HD LCD TV.

One thing that worries me is the fact that I cant see the Secondary Display Driver in the Display properties even since I reformatted.

If you can't see the second display in the Catalyst Control centre, then you may neex to reinstall them. I also have tried to connect a TV to a notebook by using S-Video, and it did work, however it took quite a few attempts, and also I used an S-video cable, not an adapter to change from S-video to component. Try reinstalling the drivers and see if that makes a difference first. Hope this helps.

Is the same for me, I tried to connect it to a box with a s-video port that then goes to the TV. But it doesn't work.

What version of Catalyst are you using. Try both the version that are on the original driver disc, and also try the new ones from the ATI site. Hope this helps.
