    Hello,

    I have a Sony VGN-AR670 and it has a HDMI output and a S-Video component. I
have a PS2 I want to plug it in and use the laptop monitor as the display. So I
bought PS2 Connector with S-Video along with the regular white, yellow, and
    red outputs.

I plug in the S-Video connector into the S-Video slot in the
computer. And on my laptop Fn and F7 shows that it changes the laptop display,
however it doesn't show my TV display of PS2. Did i do something wrong here?

    Thankyou

The computer only has an S-Video output, meaning it can only send signals away. You need an input to receive signals, like those on a tv-tuner.
