Say that I have a Gateway P7811-FX (in signature)
Say that it has 2 partitions, one for OS and one for data.
Say I wanted to do a clean install.
Say that, in my infinite stupidity, I deleted all my existing partitions so that the install screen looks like this: http://www.sevenforums.com/attachme...-sata-driver-load-windows-7-vista-setup-1.png
There's no partitions to install to, and I can't add another partition...
Some searching tells me that I need to reinstall SATA controller drivers to make the installation disc "recognize" the hard drive again, but I'm not totally sure.
I found the drivers from the manufacturer page but they didn't work.
I screwed up pretty badly, help?![]()
Edit: Apparantly, the space left over from me deleting the partitions is supposed to show up as unallocated disk space, but it's not for some reason. Any reason why that's the case?

Nevermind, figured it out, turned out the partitions were corrupt or something. Used the tool on the disc to fix it.

Good to hear you got it working.
