    SATA or ATA-7?

    I'm wanting to upgrade the hdd in my laptop (sony vaio fz150e), and just pulled out the current one to check what it was, assuming it was a sata one. Now I'm not so sure, can anyone help me out. Here is a picture of the connection on the drive and the laptop:

    The laptop connects to the pins on the left part of the drive, not the 4 on the right.

    Hitachi 5K500.B/ WD5000BEVT
    Hitachi 7K320 / WD3200BEKT

    Your laptop uses SATA drives
