    Does anyone know of any stores that would sell Sata to usb? like walk in stores?

    The are not interchangeable. I take it you need to hook up a SATA hard drive?

    You need to get a hard drive enclosure that has USB out.

    for $50 there is an enclosure at bestbuy, by rocketfish. it comes with a esata cable and a usb cable.

    do you have a fry's, microcenter in california?
    they would definitely have it.
    Also do a google search of computer shops in your area. the small ones will have it. Bestbuy and circuit city type stores will make you buy an enclosure for it.
