Hi all,
I was just out with a friend wanting to buy a Seagate 500gb hdd, for use in his external casing.
At the shop, we came across a list of hdds sold there. Among the list these two confused me:
Seagate SCE SATA 500 gb (16mb) 7200rpm
and
Seagate SATA 500 gb (32mb) 7200rpm
I notice that the latter has a 32mb cache (which is better, right?)
but the former was almost twice the price, making me wonder what is this "SCE"? and why is it so much more expensive?
Thanks.

SCE is the Constellation series drive, it runs a SAS/SATA interface, and requires a 12V and a 5V line to run. It is also much thicker than a normal 9.5mm drive. It will not work in your laptop
