    Hello guys,

I just have a consern. I noticed when I put a SD card into the 6-1 PCMCIA Card reader, Windows took much longer to boot. Why is that? Of course, if I eject te card, it just boot normally.

Is the SD card bootable? But it completely empty. It doesnt bother me, just wondering.

    TIA.

I guess its just windows nature to check any removable media on boot. Just like optical drives are spun up on boot to read them. Example if u have a damaged DVD/CD in the drive on boot, windows is gonna take too long to boot as it tries to read it, before it either manages to do so or just fail and continue.

Bootability of removable media is a function of your motherboard/Bios. I cannot see why not have flash media bootable since any USB storage device can be made bootable if your hardware supports it.

But of course if your flash card is empty that it contains no boot data.
