Bought a 32 Gb sd card a few days back and threw it in my system. It stays there. I did some file movement then formatted it. Full 32gb.

Today I went to use it but it says only 786mb available. the pie shows the rest in red in Windows. It wont format completely and there is literally only 786mb available.

I cannot get it to format in Fat32 or NTFS. The funny thing is it recognizes the total capacity as 32gb.

Thoughts on how to get my 32Gb back???

Go to my computer or computer what ever it says. Click on it. Choose your memory card and open it. Right click in it and choose properties now open tools. If this works you can check it for errors and defrag and backup files. It seems more likely that you have a bad card. Take it back and get a new one.

Yup got it off ebay but seller had 100% on all previous sales...

And testing but writing will take awhile apparently for 787mb

This is the response from the program...

Error writing file 'D:\1.h2w', offset 0xf00000.
It is still possible to verify the test data written up to this point.
(The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error. Code 1117)
Warning: Only 787 of 31987 MByte tested.
    Writing speed: 7.78 MByte/s

    Could be a fake.

I remember they were selling 256gb memory sticks in China like 2 years ago and the funny thing was that windows would see the 256gb capacity but you could only really use like 1gb of it.
