I have an ASUS G50V laptop with Vista64. It has a slot for a smart card, onto which I want to transfer some files for a new PDA I purchased. Never used a smart card before - when I put it in the slot (a 2Gb card), I hear a sound indicating the computer recognizes it, but it doesn't show up in My Computer. Can someone please explain how I use this? Do I need some sort of smart card reader software installed? Thanks.

Sorry - just realized I made a mistake. THIS IS AN SD CARD, NOT A SMART CARD.

    Some more precision:

I checked Device Manager, which indicates that my SD host adaptor is SDA Standard Compliant SD Host Controller. It is up-to-date. The SD card I'm trying to use is a Kingston 2Gb microSD. I do use a digital camera and the ASUS had no difficulty reading the card.
