:decision: So i currently have 512 ddr ram in my laptop.
The max ram listed on the sony website for this computer is only 1GB.

BUT!, one of the reviewers here tells us that he upgraded his sony s270p to 1.5GB of ram.

These 2 computers are quite similar in specs so they both have the maximum of 1gb as listed on the sony website.

If i put a 1gb stick into my other slot, will it function?

From what I can tell your machine uses Micro DIMM and I thought those cap out at 512MB, but I could be wrong. If you find a 1GB chip, I don't see why the entire chip wouldn't be seen, unless it's simply not supported by Sony.
