Does the Toshiba Satellite A100 Series notebooks have a SPDIF Port?

Does an external Cardbus Sound card use a lot of power...ie, does it consume more battery?

Will an external soundcard work simultaneously with the default one?...ie, can we use both the headphone ports at the same time??

Please recommmend a good cardbus soundcard which is readily available in any area....and what is the standard price of an external sound card??

Both sound cards can be used at the same time. But each program can only use one sound card. One sound card you have to set as windows default card and thats what most programs and windows will use. In many programs you can pick which sound device to use. You could use sound card A with win amp and sound card by to chat on skype. But you cant tell winamp to output sound on both cards at the same time.
